HERD is very proud to be the recipient of a special donation by The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. This donation is to help with special feed and hay required by equines with special needs, such as mares in foal who cannot eat fescue hay and severe malnutrition cases upon their arrival . New arrival Seaworthy on the left meets Maritime. The two babies are benefiting from wonderful new Timothy/Alfalfa hay thanks to this wonderful grant. These youngsters came to us very under weight and the better quality hay helps so much in getting them to a stable weight.
